Feel The Cuban Rumba Tropical Salsa Rhythm in Chicago
Chicago may not be the first
place on your mind when you're thinking of the best place to
find a Latin theme party, Cuban theme party, Latin dance show
but in fact the city has a thriving salsa and Latin music culture.
Chicago is the third largest
city in the US and the largest city in the Midwest and lies next
to Lake Michigan.
The area that became Chicago
was named by French explorer Louis Hennepin in the late 17th
century, though it was not until the late 18th century that the
area was settled. Chicago became a city in the mid 19th century.
Although it's mostly flat, Chicago
has a distinctive skyline, with many beautiful buildings.
The city is well known as a financial
center, and other industries include medical products, food processing,
publishing, printing and manufacturing. Sporting activities are
another of the city's attractions.
Chicago has four distinctive
seasons, so if you want to experience salsa dancing in a tropical
Caribbean style, you'll have to visit between June and September,
when the temperature is in the 80s.
Freezing temperatures will mean
indoor entertainment during December to February, so salsa dancers
will have to seek Latin music, Cuban music and bands at the local
clubs.
This waterfront city is immensely
popular with visitors and residents, and there's plenty to do.
There are Latin music and salsa festivals, as well as many local
attractions. You won't go short of entertainment in Chicago.
